History Red Room Radio
The Red Room Company grew out of a small community radio show, ‘Red Room Radio,’ which first broadcast on 89.7 fm eastside radio www.eastsidefm.org in 2001. Due to popular demand we expanded to a national audience.
The Red Room Radio show and The Red Room Epic Project were awarded the prestigious ‘Best New innovative radio program’ at the 2002 National Community Radio awards run by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia
In 2005 Red Room Radio broadcast Poetry Crimes through the satellite. On the final Sunday of each month at 4pm, Red Room Radio partnered with 'Ozwrite' through Artsound FM in Canberra (92.7). Our next radio broadcasts will include the 2006 Toilet Door poets.
