Dream merchants

We trawl the sunken city,
cast webs
to catch what’s left.
A game of Marco
Polo in carbon depths.

The poem is not a line,
but a net.
Woven with strands,
written in sand,
carried by the wind.

A moment spun
and sent to sea.
