Rachael Briggs is a research fellow in the philosophy department at the Australian National University, and the Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems at Griffith University. She writes poetry in her spare time. Her Thomas Shapcott Award-winning manuscript Free Logic was published in 2013 with University of Queensland Press. Her poems have also appeared in Rattle, Able Muse, and The Tower Journal, and she has been a feature performer at Speedpoets, the Riverbend Poetry Series, Whispers Salon, and Words or Whatever.
In 2013, she visited Xavier High School, Albury and led Red Room Poetry Education workshops using The Disappearing learning resouces.
