Balund-a, A Song - Unlocked @ Balund-a | NAIDOC Week
With support from The Funding Network and generous indivdiuals, Unlocked returns to Balund-a for a special series of NAIDOC week workshops. Unlocked plays an important role in connecting Indigenous communities and supporting NAIDOC week celebrations with local Elders.
This Unlocked program ran from the 5th -8th July, with three full day workshops of poetry, language, music and art, culminating on the fourth day with a community-led event by local Elders - Chris Walker, Maurice Robinson, and Muriel Exton.
This song was written and composed by the students under the guidance of Lionel Forgarty and Joe Geia.
