New Shoots Poetry Prize on ABC RN Blueprint for Living


Poets, writers and artists have long found inspiration in the drama and beauty of the Australian landscape.

The New Shoots Poetry Prize, the product of a collaboration between the Red Room Company and the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, was established to celebrate and cultivate poems inspired by plants and place.

We hear from the 2016 New Shoots winner and speak to the Red Room's artistic director about the enduring relationship between poetry and the natural world.
