Caroline Chisholm School (CCS) is a co-educational, public school for students from Preschool to Year 10, situated in Canberra's south-east Tuggeranong Valley overlooking the Brindabella Mountains. Caroline Chisholm School offers 12 years of continuous learning, assessment plus social and emotional programs with the students taking up their final years of study at their regional college or CIT.
Celebrated poet Eileen Chong featured in a digital poetry workshop with students from Caroline Chisholm School, ACT. Eileen led the class, via a live video feed, in writing activities inspired by the Poetry Object learning resource, where students delved into the undiscovered magic of their favourite objects.
Eileen Chong is a Sydney poet. Burning Rice (Australian Poetry, 2012) was shortlisted for the Anne Elder Award, Australian Arts in Asia Award and the Prime Minister's Literary Award. Her other books are Peony (Pitt Street Poetry, 2014) and Painting Red Orchids (Pitt Street Poetry, 2016).
