Poetry Object, 2016
North Lakes State College is a State School that offers education for both boys and girls from the Preparatory school year through to Year 12. The College has established a well-planned and sequenced curriculum program that is supported by a vast selection of extra curricular activities and a pastoral care program which assists each student to explore their talents, interests, and abilities.
Celebrated poet Adam Pettet will present a unique series of Poetry Object workshops to over 200 students at North Lakes State College. Under Adam's poetic leadership, students will unveil the magic in their favourite objects while embarking on a thought-provoking writing journey relating to themes of resistance. With activities inspired by our new free Poetry Object learning resource, students will write poems inspired by their favourite objects. You can find these poems in our Poetry Object library.
