Riverside Girls High School
Poetry Object, 2018
Riverside Girls High School is a comprehensive public girls school dedicated to the development of confident, independent, creative young women.
Our vision is to achieve excellence in girls' education through inspiring learning experiences in an environment that is proud of its traditions and community connections.
Our motto, FACTA NON VERBA means Deeds not Words.
- We are committed to preparing students to take their place as responsible and active community members within our democratic society.
- We value students for their individuality and teach them to act in ways that respect the individuality in others.
As part of Red Room's annual Poetry Object Competition, students from Riverside Girls High School were led in poetic and circuit drawing workshops at the Powerhouse Museum with poet Toby Fitch and Powerhouse Museum staff on June 21st.
Students interacted with special objects on display at the museum and created unique poems based on their own objects.
The workshop poems will be available to read here soon!
