I observe!

A Buddhist Crematorium

And I think,

Am I treading on the ashes of the dead?

And the road continues

I see undertakers, lowering coffins without compassion

I see builders logging surrounding bushland

Destroying

Eliminating the neighbouring golf course

The Disappearing!

Amongst this bush I see a headstone

With a dense crack in the middle

And, instantaneously I am reminded of the

Ten Commandments

Did he break them to deserve this fate?

And now

As I near the end of my journey

I exit my vehicle

I walk down the Greek Orthodox aise

S46, S47, S48 and…

Finally I stare down at my influence

my teacher

my best friend

my grandmother

my yiayia

My necropolis

Rookwood Cemetery
