d(y)-i(e)v-ing

wondering
on the edge of 36
legs dangling

into an aching abyss
sickness stretches anxiety
chewing gum on the sole of

my shoe
could plunge
end this unknown for another

here’s the
unfair distribution of suffering
between her collagen lips

his muscle mary pecs
tourists snap at my expanse
this is my horizon

abbreviated in their
digital prevarications
for the processing age

there are pixels
spreading across my abdomen
I’ve seen them

reflected in friends sympathy
I am being excavated
again
the last of the old houses in the area

know this ruin
inhale the blue
scramble away from
the edge
