G'day Joe

Group Poem

G’DAY JOE, IT’S GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU,

WE MISSED YOU AT CHRISTMAS, BUT WHAT CAN

    YOU DO?

LUNCH WAS DELICIOUS, BUT IT WASN’T THE SAME

RITA MADE THE GRAVY BUT WE TIPPED IT

DOWN THE DRAIN

MARY’S BOYFRIEND HELPED, Y’KNOW, WHAT’S HIS

    NAME?

NOBODY LIKES HIM, BUT HE’S NOT TO BLAME

STELLA HAD A LONG FLIGHT ON THE BLOODY PLANE

ANGUS AND DOLLY DRANK ALL THE CHAMPAGNE

THE DAY WAS A SCORCHER, A HUNDRED DEGREES.

THE KIDS LOVED THE PRESENTS THAT WERE UNDER

    THE TREE

THEY OPENED ALL THE PRESENTS IN SANTA’S SACK

BUT WHAT THEY REALLY WANTED WAS TO HAVE YOU

    BACK

I KEPT RITA AT ARM’S LENGTH WHILE

WE WATZED TO THE TRACK

PUT YOUR MIND AT EASE BROTHER

COZ I’VE GOT YOUR BACK

6 MONTHS TO GO & YOU’LL BE HOME

WITH US MATE

AND WE’LL ALL HAVE YOUR GRAVY BACK ON OUR

PLATE
