Oyster Shell Necklace

I didn’t fill the bay
or make the rocks
I didn’t.
Hear Tassie’s haunted
wasn’t sure how I’d feel
I feel.
Water in your welcome
the clouds, the blood
water.
All feeds all
mud oysters, mutton birds
all feeds.
Parting gift
shell in your hands
now in my hands
on your neck
now on my neck.
Safe travel
with shell stringed close
heartbeat close.
