Disappearing

Michael H.

It’s our lives as we know it,
forever changing, the garden as we grow it.
The clean air as we breathe it,
turning toxic as we abuse it.

Taking for granted Mother Nature
surfing a wave with no future
forgotten in the waves which follow
but don’t nurture.

The waterfall of life will start
when a single drop
becomes a river
drowning all in its path.
