To The Governor

by Blain Locke Jr.

A bird without Wings,
A sun thats not bright,
A car whitout wheels,
A boxer without fight,
A day in a Gaol,
the days of Our life,
the crime might be wrong
But is the punishment so right
for the Wrongs we have done
In a Cell we remain
the officer’s determine
the punishment again.
take a birds wings
take the fight out of a boxer
Instead of fixing their problem
you have created a monster.
drugs, violence, deppression they wonder
conclusion Replace a human to a number.
