I awake (and)

I don’t want to get up (of course)

I rouse (when)

He comes in (between)

His trips to the loo (and)

I get up.

I sense the coffee (when)

I smell the grounds (and)

I head to the kitchen (like)

a moth to a flame (but)

suggest we have breakfast out.

We get back (and)

He makes the coffee (like)

It’s a bee in his bonnet (though)

I don’t care (who)

Makes the stuff (when)

All I want to do it drink a cup.

I sip the ambrosia (as)

He sits by me (on)

The couch (and)

Smiles at me (before)

Giving me the yearned for kiss (or)

Look of approval.
