Flapping flags and shaking leaves, silent falling rain,

The inverted car reflections on painted window-frames.

The hum of traffic, starting/stopping, ebbs and flows.

Doors are opening, shutting, footsteps come and go.

Phones are ringing, voices murmur, rise and fall,

Posters stepping up a smooth and peachy wall.

Screen is right in front, windows to either side,

I find my focus shifting as my vision slides

from outer view to inner and then back out again.

I see my fingers typing; mouse, book, pen.

Written in response to exercise twelve.
