Aidan Coleman was born in Aberystwyth, Wales, and emigrated to Australia when he was eight. He has published two chapbooks of poetry, with Vagabond Press and Picaro Press, and two poetry collections Avenues & Runways (Brandl & Schlesinger), which was shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Literary Award and Asymmetry (Brandl & Schlesinger), which was shortlisted for the Western Australian Premier’s Book Award and the John Bray Poetry Award.

This Red Room Clubs & Societies Project grew into a community arts event, run by Aidan with fellow poet Thom Sullivan, which yielded an anthology, Light & Glorie: 26 poets write about stained glass (Mosaic Publishing), and an ABC Radio National feature.
