Laetitia Nanquette is a Lecturer and Australian Research Council DECRA Fellow in the School of the Arts and Media at The University of New South Wales. Her research project is entitled "A Global Comparative Study of Contemporary Iranian Literature". 

She has studied Philosophy and holds an MA and PhD from SOAS, University of London (2011). Between 2011-2012 she was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Harvard University, in the Department of Comparative Literature. Her monograph "Orientalism versus Occidentalism: Literary and Cultural Imaging between France and Iran since the Islamic Revolution" was published in 2013 with IB Tauris, London. She works on the global circulation of contemporary Iranian literature and is interested in issues of World literature and translation. 

Laetitia has been commissioned to translate poetry for the Lyrikline Project.
