We were off on an adventure to explore the Australian Alps,
Up an old bush trail in the Snowies
Where the ghostly gums whistle in the wind
And the wild flowers dance in the breeze

There we found a magic river trickling on forever
Where fish tickle my feet and a waterfall splashes overhead

There I found a river, and in that river I found a stone
So perfect it looks as though it was carved by the sun and dropped
From the sky into the Coral Sea into the rest of the world unknown

Where the brumbies run wild in the night
And the storm clouds gather in the distance

The rainfall drops dreams into my mind and my stone makes them shine
