My bracelet
By Hannah B
Vivacious and tiny
shiny and iridescent
the sound it makes when
the gold chain shakes
singing songs
holding memories
“hello, hello!”
it whispers to me
its oyster shell home
never leaves it alone
it’s the pearl inside
that curls up tight
the tiny rose on top
striking a pose
containing a bracelet
keeping the main place
still fitting
without any grit
a bright colour
reflecting the light
kept in a dome
once swept away
brought back
it comes closer to me
