Floppy

My rabbit Floppy is as fat as can be,
All I can see is a roll of fat when she looks up at me.
She thinks she suits sunglasses like a famous movie star
And rides around cockily in our silver family car.
You don’t want to be close when she’s in a mood,
And don’t mention what happens when she’s last to get her food!

My rabbit Floppy is full of soulful love,
My rabbit Floppy is my special shining dove.
For as she snuggles into me with fur as soft as satin,
That’s black and white contrasting, like the yin and yang pattern;
And looks up at me with full glittering brown stars,
I know she can’t pass away without leaving me grieving scars.
