Taurus

Its golden body draws attention from across a room
I could see it from a mile away
It had the mark of Taurus,
Tauruses known for being stubborn
I knew this necklace would be special
I could pass it down,
But what if no one else was a Taurus
It stayed in my cupboard,
I only wore it out once or twice a year
My great Nan gave my mum a necklace to hand onto me
It was a Taurus necklace
I was a Taurus and so were my other two cousins,
However, they are boys
I barely ever saw her and I was only young when she passed
She gave me two Taurus necklaces, one silver, one gold
The gold one is my favourite
I do not know why but it is just more special to me
