Extinction Elegies on Sydney's trains

Look out for poems about quolls, devils and dingoes gliding around Sydney's train network from 30 September as part of Extinction Elegies. For every poem we receive about a threatened species, we’ll donate $1 to Rewilding Australia.

Come along for a poetry reading by international author, poet and proud Gunai woman Kirli Saunders at Artbank Sydney as part of the International Year of Indigenous Languages. The reading will be held in Artbank’s exhibition Tjungu Palyangku Tjukurpa titutjara kupu ngaranytja-ku I As we come together we stand strong for our story with a light morning tea held afterwards.

Gadigal student workshops

at Royal Botanic Garden & Art Gallery of NSW

First Nations students in years 3-11 will work with poets, Language Custodians and Aboriginal Educators, exploring bush medicine and tucker, creating artworks inspired by Country and writing poems/raps in Gadigal language. as part of Red Room Poetry's Poetry in First Languages Gadigal project. Cost: $30 per student.
