Youth Unlocked workshops at Coreen School

In a series of four workshops, RR poet Kirli Saunders and artist David Cragg will collaborate with students at Coreen School to create  poems with a focus on community, family and belonging, as well as connection to the Earth with First Nations perspectives. Workshop dates: 21 May, 28 May, 4 June and 11 June 2019.

MUSE @ Taronga poetry and art exhibition

Taronga Zoo Sydney plays host to MUSE @ Taronga – an outdoor exhibition featuring contemporary and traditional installation-based artworks created by environmentally driven and emerging First Nations artists, including RR poets Ali Cobby Eckermann and Joel Davison.

NAIDOC poetry reading and art launch

To celebrate NAIDOC Week, RR's Poetry in First Languages Gundungurra students will be at Wingecarribee Shire Council for the launch of our PIFL art and poetry exhibition. Some students will also brave the stage to perform the poetry they created in our Gundungurra workshops in March 2019.

Other activities include: Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony and Ngaran Ngaran Culture Awareness dancers.
